As the BUCS season kicked off this week, hundreds of Team Surrey students will pull on their university colours for the first time this year. For some, it’s about representing their team. For others, it could be the start of something much bigger. Just ask the incredible Lucy Packer - World Cup winner and Team Surrey alum!

A few years ago, Lucy was balancing Biochemistry lectures with top-level rugby. Today, she’s a World Cup winner helping England’s Red Roses beat Canada 33 - 13 at a sold-out Twickenham in front of 81,000 fans!

Congratulations on this incredible achievement from everyone at Team Surrey - we're so proud of you!

Who knows? The next Lucy Packer might be lacing up their boots this season.
